i don't know why... no matter how hard I try to stop thinking about it, i can never evade the glimpses of memories that constantly flashes through my mind. for the past few days, i've been thinking about the past, present and future of our choir[ctss]. i've been thinking about the changes that occurred since last year until now; reminiscing through the good old times I, as an individual, had the previous year. it wasn't long, perhaps about a couple of months. the months we took to prepare for syf'07, the long hours of time put in to prepare for this competition. i was only sec 1 then. but yet, i could see all my seniors encouraging us, cheering us on, to quickly get the songs done so that we could participate. their endless efforts will not be forgotten. at that time, we were an SAB choir; with about 7 or 8 baritones. those times were short but sweet, yet i didn't really appreciate it much just because it's my first year only. now in 2008, almost all's lost and i'm starting to blame myself for not being more active last year. silver it is, though i've been getting 2 consecutive golds in primary school. i don't blame any of the choir members, cos i know that everyone had put in their best efforts.

curious as i was about how choir was like in the past(my cousin's period), i asked one of the most enthusiastic member of our choir[kai en] how it was like. kai en told me his true feelings. he felt that last year was actually nothing, and that 06 was actually much more memorable then last year, which means when Max was around. that, was the actual CTSS choir, and not our present state with barely 40+ strength. the 'previous' choir had almost 100% dedicated choir members. yet what i see now is less than 50% of people having the interest for choir or full attendance. what can i say? is it because the lower sec members do not know how choir was like in the past, or is it because of the change of instructor this year, or perhaps the super boring warm-ups that we conduct?... it can't be helped man! i mean, it's boring but necessary!

aww man... how i'd wish that i could be born earlier... that i could experience how CTSS choir was like in 2006 and before! but yet i know that time can never be reversed, so i have to make do with the current situation. i sincerely hope that any lower sec choir member who read this will change their attitudes towards choir because this is seriously not the actual CTSS choir that i've known these few years! i also do hope that we'd all join forces together to help make our choir a 100% enthu choir so that we'd be prepared for syf'09 and the future! and for those trouble-makers who do not wish to oblige to be kicked out of choir by next year!
