hey im back from camp metamorphosis and it totally rocked!!! or should i say 95%?? O.O partly due to some suay-ness and misfortunes that i received... =.= overall i can say that i thoroughly enjoyed the camp. here are the details:

Day 1
all of us gathered in the canteen, excitedly(or mostly nonchalantly) talking about the camp. none of us had expected what the outcome of the camp would be as we had predicted that it would be boring and tiring. we then went to the hall for morning assembly, with all our luggage and such. the sec 3s then proceeded to the ISH(indoor sports hall) and we had a briefing about our camp. we then handed over all our valuables to the teachers in charge of our class and that was the first time we met our instructors. haha 3C1 got 2 groups: 9 and 10. im in group 10 luh. group 9's instructor is Za, a very nice malay instructor. and group 10's instructor is Derrick, a very humorous chinese instructor!! :D his favourite quote is "yyyeeeeeaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!"! haha u can hear 3c1 saying that most of the time during the camp! :) both instructors are very enTHUsiastic, far more then camp nova's Gorilla and Kangaroo, i can say.

ok, so we took like 2 hours+ to reach Kota Tinggi from Clementi and 3C1's 1st day activites were the jungle expedition and flying fox/absailing. expedition was kinda boring, but that was when we got to know each other better and yep, learn Derrick's favourite quote!... there was one activity when we have to stand in a circle holding hands(girl boy girl boy). haha i have to say that sec 3 students have indeed matured to a certain stage as all of us didn't complain luh, like how we'd used to in primary school and lower sec. :O oh and there's one rope swinging thingy which is called Nitro LOL! :D so there wasn't enough time left which was why i had to go for absailing... =.= (i wanted flying fox initially but i had not experienced both, so yeah.) i had to climb a 3-storey-high tower by a ladder and the wind was freakingly cold. i 脚软 at that time leh!! then reach the top of the tower laggi jialat!! i almost chicken-out luh. then the instructor at the absailing one buckle the rope and all that then give me instructions on how to absail down. i was like "oh my goodness i wanna get out of this place!!!". he told me to hold the rope in front of me with my left hand and the back one with my right and release slowly to absail down. i was like HUH very scary leh! then my palms were clammy with sweat and all that. the instructor then ordered(ok a meaner tone then actual), " look at me(as he removed his sunglasses), look into my eyes!" which i did. "don't worry, just step onto the ledge and straighten your legs. take one step down and release the rope slowly. if anything happens i still can pull you up. LOOK AT ME, BELIEVE ME!!!" ok then i was like staring at him with the zhang yu's mouth and obeying luh. wah then in the end i managed to get down. thanks instructor! :) the best part's here. my hands have no energy left due to grasping the rope so tightly like it's the sole lease of life. then i oso 'gong-gong' due to the shock i received from coming down. alas, my left foot stepped into a deep mound of mud and turned brown! wdh its only the first day luh! :O i was so pissed! =.= then the teacher ask me to point at my shoe and take picture!!!?? walao. haisshh this is camp mar... right?! yep so 3C1 bonded quite a bit and we turned in at around 12am liddat. but obviously all of us couldn't sleep cos we aren't tired. we all slept in tents. (unfair luh the teachers and instructors i think all sleep in the resorts luh!!) u know the night-time temperature was 16 degrees celcius with howling winds the temperature of ice!! O.O the tents were just draped over a piece of concrete(very small size) which were only able to fit approximately 3 people. to seal the tent, u'd have to velcro it luh. but the velcro damn lousy one, or is it due to the wind. when we're lying in our sleeping bags about to sleep, u'd slowly hear the velcro tearing apart and then suddenly, "PIACK!", the tents burst open and the howling winds would just enter it unknowingly!!! after about 10 attempts to reclose it, we finally gave up and just went to our sleep... -.- irritating tents! packing was worse as there were no sources of lights provided. so out came our torches.

Day 2
i got a backache due to the concrete floor. so we spent the whole of day 2 climbing the mountain. (erm i forgot the name) woke up, had breakfast, then started to ascend at 9am issit? yep. u know the mountain's full of leeches and that's what freaked everybody out!! i met with about 5 small ones which attacked my shoe and 3 slightly bigger ones bit me leh!!! walao i freaked out and screamed obviously. and thanks to some instructors and classmates who helped to get rid of them. horrible creatures they are!. that's why blood A+ groups must be aware as our blood is sweet. (that's not a compliment)=.= there were 4 checkpoints. 1 and 2 are considered easy(which i think is even harder then climbing Great Wall...) yeah after these 2 u can't back out anymore but just climb to the summit. it's tedious u know!!! some people dropped out at checkpoint 1 and 2. but i continued luh obviously. "u must overcome the mountain in you!!!" -quoted by Mr Ng Han Ming... oh yeah and i conquered Great Wall so this has to be relatively easier. easier said then done. checkpoint 3 and 4 are so very tedious and tiring that all of us were drenched in perspiration! it's seriously very arduous! >.< come down that time even better. there was a downpour which made the mud very slippery. so we had to inch our way slowly down. i fell down many times and got my whole body covered in mud... =.= yeah many people fell too! sometimes we had to even slide down with our bums. without the instructors, we wouldn't be able to reach down in time. really gotta thank them yeah!... :)

Day 3
last day of camp. ate breakfast then had activities: kayaking, jetty jump and nature rumble. (no Indiana Jones as it was under maintenance.) :( first time kayaking. very interesting! :D jetty jump was pretty cool! then had area cleaning. 3C1's in-charge of cleaning the mountain apparatus. cleaned halfway then was told no more time. after that, we had a sharing session. each individual in every class must tell each other what he/she enjoyed/learnt most. LOL i said that i now know how to deal with leeches!! (as i'm the only one who got bitten thrice in my class!! next comes the sharing, as in a member of each group must stand in front of the whole audience and share your experience. for 3C1, i represented group 10 and Benedict represented group 9. so we talked luh. i go and create some story about the mountain. like there are 4 checkpoints mar. so i say climbing the mountain is like your secondary school education liddat. checkpoint 1 is sec 1, checkpoint 2 is sec 2, vice versa. then when you reach the summit, that would be the point where you've gotten your O'level results and scored satisfactory results. :) haha the steeper the slope, the more tough your sec school work is. LOL. :)
ah well. we then made our way back to Singapore. slept in the coach cos was quite tired. reached Clementi Town sec at around 7+pm. was first class to reach. bade farewell and all that. i was quite sad to leave the camp and yeah, i will miss Za and Derrick and his "yyyyyeeeaaaaaahhhhhhhh" man! xD maybe 3C1 would be saying that for the whole of the year, perhaps!. :)
