i was sitting on the left hand side of my father's car, my left elbow propped against the handrest of the door ledge, gazing out of the window. deep in thought, i witnessed the everyday lives of my fellow neighbourhood people, buzzing about, getting their things done. some riding bicycles, some waiting for their bus to come at bus stops, some crossing the road, some chatting leisurely, or even sauntering while holding the hand of their beloved, et cetera... i thought to myself, why hadn't i noticed all these small things going on around me in my life? it was only then that i realised that most of us are so busy that we never bothered to stop and enjoy the small little things that can make one as happy as a lark. we've all focused on the other important things, like fulfilling our greatest ambitions and wishes, going full-speed ahead with the big things that we must accomplish.. students focusing hard on their studies, adults going to work in the wee hours of the morning, coming home late at night way after dusk... and because of our strong-mindedness, we have thus neglected the smallest of things that have made up our lives, made up as the foundation of our happiness. unknowingly, we have indeed cast aside our family, friends, relatives, or even things. so why not use this chance to appreciate all these little bits and pieces surrounding us? even just to pause in our lives for a little while, i'm very sure that it would do us good to self-reflect and ponder over what we should do, at least as a child, grandchild, friend, niece, nephew, neighbour or even other aquaintances... so yeah, i'm convinced that time is the best form of money to be spent, cos this builds up relations, mends broken hearts, seals misunderstandings, show and present the compassionate side of our heart and of course to let the person know that you really love him/her a lot, a lot...

i hope my sister gets well soon. being in hospital isn't a good thing aye, especially since your birthday is on the coming wednesday. *sighs* i better get a present for 'fat pig'. you know, although i don't like to show my emotions, especially towards my family, and we always bicker and all that, i just wanna tell you how much i love you as a sister. ah well i guess i better stop blabbering or i may just start weeping... tsktsk.
